Ahmed Khadr was charged by Pakistani authorities with
aiding and abetting terrorists in November 1995 bombings
of Egyptian Embassy, Islamabad. This bombing claimed
lives of sixteen (16) individuals while injuring 60
others. He is also the father in law of Khalid Abdullah
(a prime suspect in this bombing). Ahmed sought the
assistance of Canadian Prime Minister Jean Chretien, who
later raised the issue with Pakistani authorities
securing his release.
